Community Science Welcomes Three New Staff
Denise L. Baer, Ph.D., Senior Associate is an expert in performance measurement and management with experience consulting for federal agencies and nonprofit organizations. She directed a Department of Justice project on developing performance measures on the integration of information systems, designed national trainings on performance measurement, systems change, and strategic planning to state and local cross-systems teams for the National Governor’s Association Center for Best Practices. Dr. Baer is the author of four books on political linkage, advocacy and political change, including the forthcoming Delivering Measurable Performance: Methods, Strategies and Tools for Policymaking and Public Management under contract with SAGE Press. Zachary R. Miller, MPA, is Community Science's newest Associate. Mr. Miller is a public administration professional with professional experiences pursuing social change throughout the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He specializes in nonprofit management and has knowledge of program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative analysis, strategic planning, development, and systems change initiatives research. His interest areas include comprehensive community initiatives, adult basic education, juvenile justice reform, and addressing health disparities in minority communities. Resume
Pamela T. Robb joins Community Science as our Project Manager. She plans, organizes, directs, and controls resources for Community Science projects, ensuring project plans are compliant with contractual obligations and client deliverables are on time, on budget, and are of high quality. Prior to her current role, Ms. Robb spent more than 10 years managing a variety of increasingly complex enterprise-wide projects in for- and non-profit settings. Ms. Robb is active within the project management community via her participation with several networking groups and her membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI) where she is working with a transition team tasked with launching PMI’s Student Community of Practice. Ms. Robb is currently enrolled in an MBA program and expects to obtain Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification in 2010. Resume

study of community and system change. From day one, our objective has
been simple: to develop the knowledge necessary to address social problems
in a way that benefits all communities. We answer evaluation and research
questions using state-of-the-art qualitative and quantitative methods.
